Appraisals

We provide estimates by email and hardcopy USPAP official appraisals by mail.

In all instances, please send us large size, high definition, digital pictures of the front, back, and signature. Please also provide the dimensions of the painting and all the information you have about it.

We will send you a quote and will let you know if we have any questions about the painting.

Value Estimates

Not everyone needs or wants a formal 10-page appraisal with color pictures, full of references to comparable items, with a biographical summary, a bibliography, and legal disclaimers. Many people just want to know the value of what they have. It's a pretty straightforward question. What is it worth?

If you ask this question, we will give you our estimate of the Fair Market Value. The estimate will be emailed to you, and it is just what the name says, an estimate.

You need to send us good, large size, clear pictures, of the front, back, signature, damage if any, inscriptions or labels, and the dimensions and all the information you have about it.

We will send you a quote and payment is due in advance and can be made by check or money order or with a credit card through the Paypal system.

USPAP Appraisals

A USPAP appraisal is a formal official appraisal of the type the IRS, insurance companies, banks and financial institutions, State and Federal agencies, require. If you need an appraisal, for insurance, it has to comply with USPAP standards and requirements.

The situation is the same if the appraisal has anything to do with taxes or the IRS, such as in the case of estate valuation, gifts, or tax-deductible donations.

Legal matters, such as divorce, equitable distribution, liquidations, also require USPAP appraisals.

We are USPAP certified and we have prepared hundreds of appraisals. Our reports are printed in three copies, and are illustrated with embedded color pictures of your paintings and of the comparables used to determine value. They include biographical and bibliographical information about the artist.

Please let us know about your paintings and we will give you a quote.
