Carl Frederik von Breda
was an 18th century portrait painter. He was
considered to be one of the leading Swedish portrait
painters of his time. He was a student of Joshua
Reynolds and spent much of his career in London. He was
known for painting the portraits of many abolitionists
of the time, as well as Rococo portraits of affluent
ladies and gentleman of the day. |
