Armande-Charles Caraffe was an 18th century French painter . He was a student of Lagrenee and David and also studied at The Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture in 1780. He won the Prix de Rome in 1785, and travelled to Italy, Egypt, Turkey and Russia during his career. He mainly painted mythological and historical scenes.
