Carl-Ludwig Johann Christinek was an 18th century Russian portrait painter. He was born to German parents and lived in Russia his entire life. In Russian, his name is Login Zakharovich. He painted a number of portraits of the Russian nobility, though art historians have criticized him for painting his sitters in too doll–like a fashion. However, he has also been praised for his clean colors and exact lines, as well as for his rendition of the Russian nobility.
