Despite Dine’s success in America he moved to London from 1967 to 1971 where he continued to develop his style and work among an international scene of artists. When Dine returned to the United States he initiated thematic drawing series and number of sculptures. Dine is known for using repeated images in his pieces such as hearts, bathrobes, flowers and birds.
Dine’s graphic images have become icons within American popular culture. Dine’s work has been shown in major museums across the United States and Europe. The Walker Art Center held a retrospective to honor Dine’s lengthy artistic career. Printshops continue to produce highly desirable images by Dine.
