Frédéric Dubois was an early 19th century portrait painter. He was the court painter to the House of Conde, and exhibited in the Paris salons in 1795 and 1804.Dubois moved to St. Petersburg, Russia in 1804 and taught there at the Art Academy. Dubois remained in Russia until 1818, and died the following year.
