Julio Gonzalez was a Spanish sculptor, known for his metal Cubist and Expressionist busts and figure studies. He was trained in metal working by his father, also a sculptor and goldsmith as a young man. However, early on, Gonzalez mainly worked as a painter, though his paintings are now all but forgotten. Many of his drawings, sketches and studies for his sculptures still remain.
