| Jean Baptiste Marie Huet was an 18th century Rococo French painter. He was originally accepted into the Academie Royal in 1769 as an animalier, or painter of animals. Huet was generally known for his pastoral landscapes, often incorporating shepherds and their flock.

| Besides being a painter, Huet was an extremely skilled draftsman, and was also commissioned for tapestry designs by the Manufacture Oberkampf. Huet was also commissioned to paint pastoral landscapes, along with fellow painters Fragonard and Boucher, in the home of Demarteau in Paris.
