Nicolas Rene Jollain was an 18th century French artist. Born in Paris , Jollain entered the Academy and studied under J.M. Pierre.
The Entrance of Christ into Jerusalem
Jollain won the Prix de Rome and was commissioned to create panels for the Petit Trianon at Versailles in 1786. He also painted frescoes for the chapel at Fontainbleau and for the Carthusian Monastery in Paris , as well as designs for the Gobelins in 1783.
