| Ferdinand Pautrot
was born in Poitiers, France in 1832. This French
sculptor exhibited in the Salon in Paris from 1861 to
1870. Very little is known about his life. Most of his
subjects were sculptures of dogs, birds, wild animals,
and horses. Each of his sculptures is very detailed and
naturalistic. They look as if they are actually in a
state of movement rather than being artificially posed. |
