Marie-Caroline Sainsaulieu lives in France and is a prominent expert on the Impressionist painter Eva Gonzales (1849-1883) and the Fauvist painter Henri Manguin (1874-1949). She has also written catalogue raisonnes for these two artists. Sainsaulieu is the author of many important books, articles, and exhibition catalogues.
Sainsaulieu's most recent publication was on Anselme Bois-Vives. Before this she wrote Centenaire Kisling, as well as works on Jean Baptiste Antoine Guillemet and Jean Duffy. She also wrote on the works of Henri Guerard, who was an engraver, painter, and the husband of Eva Gonzales. Currently she is writing a book on Cubist painter, Serge Ferat, to be published in 2009. |
