| Anton Bruckner was an Austrian composer who worked during the height of the Romantic Period. There are two known portraits of Bruckner in existence, with the possibility of many more turning up somewhere.
Portrait #1 was painted by Ferry Peratoner in 1889. The composer is seated at a piano with his music in front of him. He would have been sixty-five years old at the time of the painting. Josef Büche is the artist responsible for Portrait #2. It was painted in 1893. Bruckner was sixty-nine at the time of this portrait. |
