Ignas Budrys was a Lithuanian artist born in the Plunge Parish. Budrys was best known for his masterful watercolor painting related to Lithuanian culture and landscape.

Budrys received his artistic training at the Lithuanian Art Institute where he studied between 1960 and 1965. After graduating he taught art classes at Vilnius Children’s Art School and the Lithuanian Art Institute.

In addition to his work as teacher, Budrys had a number of solo and group exhibitions. Many of his works are now in the permanent collection of the Samogitian Art Museum. Budrys spent much of his career and life in Lithuania’s capital, Vinius, where he passed away in 1999.
