| He was born in Paris and studied at Academie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture with Joseph-Marie Vien and won the Prix de Rome in 1768. Vincent also received the Légion d’honneur in 1805. Despite extensive literature on his drawings, there is no catalogue raisonné of his works, nor any systematic catalogue of his paintings. |
