Reider Aulie was a Norwegian artist. In the 1930s he was an artist for the Socialist movement. He also became known for the art produced during the war. This continued until April 9, 1940, when he was arrested for these pictures, and sent to Grini. In 1950 he painted the freize of “Arbeiderbevegelsens historie” in Oslo City Hall. He became professor in 1958 and in 1965 he became rector at Statens kunstakademi.
